Café Racer
The Mad Max Cafe Racer is an ongoing Yamaha Zeal 250 build that embraces the raw character of the rat look movement. Built from a 1995 Yamaha Zeal 250, the project combines classic café racer styling with a deliberately weathered aesthetic, highlighting rust, patina, and aged finishes rather than hiding them. Inspired by post-apocalyptic machines and stripped-down street racers, the build focuses on simplicity, functionality, and visual character. The original lines of the Zeal are reworked with a lower stance, minimalist bodywork, and handcrafted details that reinforce its rugged appearance. Every worn surface and imperfect finish contributes to the motorcycle's story, creating a machine that feels lived-in and authentic. Currently under construction, the project continues to evolve as parts are sourced, fabricated, and refined. The goal is not a showroom restoration, but a unique café racer that celebrates individuality, mechanical honesty, and the unmistakable appeal of a well-executed rat look build.
